Coaches
 | Joe Acorn Joe founded the Sundogs in 2009 and has been running the club since then. Joe has a long soccer history as both a player and a coach. He played 4 years of soccer while attending university in Halifax and has many years playing in senior leagues in PEI, NS and Yellowknife. Joe first started coaching in 1992 in PEI when he coached the Eastern Eagles U14 boys to an undefeated regular season, the provincial championship and selection as PEI's Soccer Team of the Year. Joe has coached everything from U5 to U18 with the Sundogs and has taken several teams to the U15 and U17 National Championships. Joe is coaching the U18 boys with Oliver Gregg and the U18 girls with Michelle Tuma and Maggie Works. |

| Maggie Works Maggie grew up being involved in soccer and hasn’t stopped since. Not only has she played in various leagues over the years here in Yellowknife and while away at university in Victoria, but she also enjoys the other side of the game being a coach for many years and serving on the NWT Soccer board. She has always been passionate about being involved in soccer in any way she can and being a part of the positive impact it can have on the community. She is happy to continue to do this while coaching the Sundogs this year. Maggie is coaching the U18 girls with Joe Acorn and Michelle Tuma. | |

 | Katie Weaver Katie is a lifelong soccer player from Yellowknife. She’s always taken every opportunity to play soccer, from joining a high performance team, to starting her own YKASL teams. In her teenage years she was the assistant coach for a soccer summer camp. She now teaches fitness classes at the Yellowknife Racquet Club. Her passion for the sport stems from the positive impact it can have on both mental and physical health. Katie is coaching the U11 girls with Carly Cairns. |
